We’re excited to be exhibiting at EuroShop 2026, taking place from 22–26 February in Düsseldorf.

Alongside exhibiting at EuroShop 2026, James Hanson and Adam Devey-Smith will be taking to the Amber Stage to explore how retail experience is evolving in the age of AI.

As algorithms increasingly shape how people search, browse and buy, physical retail is being asked to do something different. Not to compete with technology, but to offer what technology can’t. Moments of discovery, emotion and cultural connection that feel personal rather than programmed.

In their session, James and Adam argue that the most compelling retail spaces of the future won’t behave like recommendation engines. Instead, they’ll feel more like record stores. Places where people wander, explore, stumble across something unexpected and leave with more than they planned to.

The talk explores how AI can play a powerful role before and after the store visit, predicting needs, learning behaviors and removing friction. But once a customer steps inside the space, the focus shifts. This is where design takes the lead, shaping atmosphere, rhythm and experience in ways that feel intuitive, expressive and human.

Drawing on real-world projects and insight, James and Adam will share how brands can balance intelligence with emotion to create retail environments that feel alive, memorable and commercially effective.

Join us on 23rd February 2026 from 11:40am to 12:00pm on the Amber Stage (Hall 9, Booth D58) to explore what this means for retail today.

If you’re attending the show and would like to visit or connect with the team, feel free to get in touch at info@theoneoff.com.
